CT Scan
Computerized Tomography, a CT or CAT scan is an imaging technology standard. This test can make pictures of the bones, muscles, and organs inside of the body. The procedure takes only a few minutes and doesn't use much radiation.
How to Prepare for Your Test
You will lie on your back on a table that glides into and out of the scanner for your CT scan with Dr. Sanjay Gupta at Health Care Imaging Centre, Meerut. You'll be scanned all over by a machine that moves around you and sends the data to a computer. During the procedure, the table may be repositioned several times to allow the scanner to capture images from a variety of perspectives.

CT scans are both faster and less expensive than MRIs. CT scan images aren't quite as detailed as MRI ones, but they are still good enough for most imaging needs. Because they only take a few minutes to do, they are also useful in an emergency.

How to Prepare for a CT scan
Certain CT examinations may necessitate using a contrast agent to enhance the visibility of specific tissues and blood vessels. If an oral contrast material is required, you must pick it up from Health Care Imaging Centre, Meerut, before your scheduled visit. You will receive instructions regarding the amount and frequency you consume the contrast substance. A tiny proportion of patients may experience an allergic reaction to iodized contrast.
Patients who have previously experienced an allergic reaction to contrast should inform Dr. Sanjay Gupta at Health Care Imaging Centre, Meerut.
Depending on the type of CT test, you may not be allowed to consume solid foods. You may consume your daily medications with a small amount of water. Please consult Dr. Sanjay Gupta at Health Care Imaging Centre, Meerut, regarding particular directions.
